TotalEnergies EP Uganda is seeking an experienced and dedicated Area Leader for its Water Treatment Unit. This is a senior-level, regular position within one of the world's leading energy companies, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to Uganda's growing oil and gas sector. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Water Treatment Unit, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with all environmental and company standards.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, maintenance schedules, and performance improvement plans for the unit.
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of technicians and operators, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Monitor water quality parameters, analyse system performance data, and troubleshoot any technical issues promptly.
• Ensure strict adherence to TotalEnergies' HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) policies and Ugandan regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and manage the unit's budget, control operational costs, and oversee inventory of chemicals and spare parts.
• Collaborate with other departments (engineering, maintenance, environmental) to optimise integrated water management on site.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in water treatment operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sector.
• In-depth knowledge of water treatment technologies (e.g., desalination, wastewater treatment, produced water management).
• Proven leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of Ugandan environmental regulations and international industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
