TotalEnergies EP Uganda is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Leader for its Water Treatment Unit. This is a senior-level, full-time position based in Uganda, offering a unique opportunity to lead critical water management operations within one of the world's leading energy companies.

About the Role:
As the Area Leader for the Water Treatment Unit, you will be responsible for overseeing all water treatment operations, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, and managing a team of technical professionals. You will play a pivotal role in supporting TotalEnergies' Tilenga project and its commitment to sustainable resource management in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Water Treatment Unit, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, maintenance plans, and compliance protocols.
• Oversee a team of engineers and technicians, providing mentorship and performance management.
• Ensure all water treatment processes meet Ugandan National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) standards and TotalEnergies' global HSE policies.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and reporting for the unit.
• Collaborate with other project departments to integrate water management with overall field operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise treatment processes and reduce environmental impact.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in water treatment operations, preferably within the oil & gas, mining, or large-scale industrial sector.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of water treatment technologies, chemical processes, and Ugandan environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
