Talent Acquisition Specialist Job in Kampala - Compassion International
Job Description
Compassion International, a leading Christian child development organisation, is seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping our workforce by identifying and attracting top talent for meaningful roles that transform the lives of children in Uganda.
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will partner directly with hiring managers to fill staff vacancies efficiently and effectively. You will be at the heart of our recruitment process, ensuring we bring on board passionate individuals who align with our mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies for entry-level and mid-level roles.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting and candidate sourcing to screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with hiring managers, guiding them through Compassion's recruitment and hiring process.
- Support moderately complex recruiting projects for a diverse range of positions within the organisation.
- Utilise various sourcing channels, including online job boards, social media, and professional networks, to attract a strong pool of candidates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system.
- May provide coaching and guidance to other recruitment specialists on the team.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably within the NGO sector or a multinational organisation in Uganda.
- Strong understanding of Ugandan labour laws and recruitment best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with HR software and applicant tracking systems.
- A strong commitment to the mission and values of Compassion International.
