Human Resources Business Partner Job at Diageo Uganda
Diageo, a global leader in beverage alcohol, is seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in Kampala. This is a senior-level opportunity for an HR professional to provide strategic partnership to our business units across Uganda, driving people initiatives that support our growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide strategic HR support and partnership to designated business units, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Lead talent management processes, including succession planning, talent development, and retention strategies for the Ugandan market.
- Manage complex employee relations matters in full compliance with Ugandan labour laws and company policies.
- Oversee the performance management cycle, guiding managers on goal setting, feedback, and development discussions.
- Implement and champion HR policies, procedures, and programmes that foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve workforce effectiveness.
- Partner with line managers on organisational design, change management, and team effectiveness.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional HR certification is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in a generalist or business partner HR role, preferably within a multinational corporation or FMCG sector in Uganda.
- In-depth, practical knowledge of Ugandan employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience in talent management, performance management, and employee relations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
