Diageo, a global leader in beverage alcohol, is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager for Talent & Development to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. About the Role
As the Senior Manager, Talent & Development, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing comprehensive talent management strategies. Your work will be crucial in building a high-performing culture, developing future leaders, and ensuring Diageo Uganda attracts and retains the best talent in the market. You will report directly to senior leadership and have a significant impact on our business success.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and execute end-to-end talent management and organisational development strategies aligned with Diageo's business goals in Uganda.
- Lead talent acquisition initiatives to attract top-tier candidates for critical roles within the Ugandan market.
- Design and manage leadership development programmes to build a robust pipeline of future leaders.
- Oversee succession planning processes to ensure business continuity and growth.
- Implement and refine performance management systems to drive employee engagement and productivity.
- Analyse talent metrics and provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organisation.
- Collaborate with HR business partners and line managers to address specific talent needs.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in talent management, organisational development, or human resources, preferably within the FMCG, manufacturing, or multinational sector in Uganda or East Africa.
- Proven expertise in modern talent management practices, leadership development frameworks, and performance management systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
