Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist Job in Kampala, Uganda - Compassion International

Compassion International, a leading Christian child development organisation, is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team in Kampala. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week in the office, and candidates must be located within a commutable distance of Kampala.

In this senior-level role, you will provide expert guidance through the full recruitment cycle, from developing job descriptions to negotiating offers. You will manage complex recruiting assignments and may coach other specialists, playing a key part in building a team dedicated to releasing children from poverty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies for Uganda and the region.
• Manage the full-cycle recruiting process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers.
• Utilise various tools and techniques to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
• Build and maintain a strong network of potential candidates through proactive market research.
• Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Stay current on recruiting trends and best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources.
• Proven experience recruiting for both technical and non-technical roles in the Ugandan market.
• Strong sourcing, screening, and interviewing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
