Talent Acquisition Specialist Job in Kampala - Compassion International

Compassion International, a leading Christian child development organisation, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for various positions within our Uganda office. You will develop effective strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates and ensure a positive experience for every applicant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
• Develop and implement innovative recruiting strategies to build a strong talent pipeline for current and future needs.
• Collaborate closely with hiring managers across departments to understand specific staffing requirements and team dynamics.
• Post job advertisements on relevant job boards, company careers page, and social media platforms.
• Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews to assess skills, experience, and cultural fit.
• Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring panels.
• Facilitate the offer process, including negotiation and onboarding coordination.
• Ensure all recruitment activities align with Compassion International's values and employment standards.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in full-cycle recruiting, preferably within the NGO, development, or corporate sector in Uganda.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and Ugandan labour laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage candidates and hiring managers effectively.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with HR software and applicant tracking systems is an advantage.
