Supply Chain Manager Position at Diageo Uganda

Diageo, a global leader in premium drinks, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise our end-to-end operations in Uganda. This senior role based in Kampala is critical for ensuring the efficient flow of our iconic brands from procurement to the hands of our consumers across the country.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee the complete supply chain function including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution within Uganda.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimise supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Manage and nurture strategic relationships with local vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners.
• Ensure full compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards in the Ugandan market.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
• Utilise SAP or similar ERP systems to drive data-informed decisions and process improvements.
• Analyse and enhance Ugandan logistics and distribution networks for maximum reliability.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in supply chain management, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or a related sector in Uganda.
• In-depth knowledge of Ugandan logistics, transport regulations, and distribution networks.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP or other major ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• A strategic thinker with a track record of implementing successful cost-saving initiatives.
