Diageo, a global leader in beverage alcohol, is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager for Logistics & Warehousing to oversee our end-to-end supply chain operations across Uganda. This is a senior leadership role based in Kampala, offering the opportunity to shape and optimise our logistics network in one of Africa's most dynamic markets.

About the Role

As the Senior Manager, Logistics & Warehousing, you will be responsible for the entire logistics and warehousing footprint of Diageo in Uganda. You will develop and implement strategies to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods from our production facilities to our customers nationwide. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining our high standards of safety, quality, and service.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and execute comprehensive logistics and warehousing strategies for Uganda operations.
• Manage and optimise warehouse operations across multiple locations in the country.
• Lead the transportation and distribution network, optimising routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Ensure full compliance with Ugandan logistics regulations, safety standards, and Diageo's global quality policies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a large team of logistics and warehousing professionals.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse data, and prepare regular performance reports for senior management.
• Manage inventory control systems to minimise stock-outs and overstock situations.
• Oversee the implementation and use of ERP systems and other logistics software.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in logistics and warehousing management, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or a related sector in Uganda.
• Strong, proven knowledge of Ugandan logistics regulations, market dynamics, and transport networks.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with experience managing large, diverse teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and logistics management software.
• A track record of driving cost savings and operational improvements in a logistics environment.
