About the Role

This senior leadership position is responsible for the entire supply chain function in Uganda, ensuring efficient and effective operations from procurement through to distribution. You will develop and implement strategies to optimise performance, reduce costs, and improve service levels across the Ugandan market.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency in Uganda.
• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations: procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Optimise inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of products and meet customer demand.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and drive continuous improvement in all supply chain processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with Ugandan health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the local supply chain team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on supply chain performance metrics (KPIs).

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
• Proven experience within the FMCG, manufacturing, or beverage industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, systems (e.g., SAP), and international best practices.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and advanced analytical tools.
