Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee and manage all engineering operations during your assigned shift at our Kampala plant.
• Ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of production machinery and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and immediate repairs to minimise downtime.
• Lead and supervise a team of technicians and operators on the shift.
• Strictly adhere to and enforce all company safety protocols, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and reports on equipment performance, production output, and any incidents.
• Collaborate with other shift teams and management to optimise overall plant performance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment, preferably in Uganda.
• Proven experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy machinery.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to preventing issues.
• In-depth knowledge of safety standards and quality control systems.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
