Job Description
PATH Uganda is seeking an experienced and strategic leader for the position of Senior Manager, Country Programmes in Kampala. This is a senior-level opportunity to provide leadership and oversight for impactful public health programmes across Uganda.

With over 40 years of experience, PATH develops innovative solutions to the world's most pressing health challenges through multisector partnerships. In Uganda, PATH works closely with the Ministry of Health, donors, and local communities to improve health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for PATH’s portfolio of projects and programmes in Uganda.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all country-level health projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and donor requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies (e.g., Ministry of Health), donors, partners, and community leaders.
- Ensure full compliance with PATH policies, donor regulations, and Ugandan laws.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of programme managers and technical staff.
- Drive resource mobilisation efforts, including leading proposal development and engaging with current and potential donors.
- Represent PATH at national and regional forums, advocating for critical public health priorities in Uganda.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Health, International Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in programme management within public health or international development.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex health programmes in low-resource settings, preferably within Uganda or East Africa.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with Ugandan government entities, international donors, and multilateral organisations.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of local Ugandan languages (e.g., Luganda) is a significant asset.
