Job Summary

As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare, document, and dispense medications and medical supplies to various hospital units and directly to patients. You will ensure accurate counselling to improve patient adherence to treatment, requiring a compassionate approach and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed medications to patients and hospital units
• Maintain proper documentation of all drug transactions and inventory
• Provide clear and empathetic counselling to patients about medication usage
• Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and hospital protocols
• Participate in inventory management and stock control activities

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy or related field from a recognised institution
• Valid practising licence from the Uganda Pharmacy Board
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing
• Knowledge of current pharmacy practices and regulations in Uganda
• Computer literacy for documentation and inventory management
• Professional demeanor with empathy for patients
