Diageo, a global leader in premium drinks, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Commercial Finance to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. This is a senior leadership role where you will provide crucial financial guidance to drive business growth and profitability across our commercial operations in Uganda.

About the Role

As the Senior Manager, Commercial Finance, you will be a key business partner to the commercial leadership team. You will provide financial leadership, strategic insights, and robust analysis to support decision-making and optimise performance in the Ugandan market. This role is central to shaping and executing our commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership and strategic partnership to the commercial sales and marketing teams.
• Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for commercial activities.
• Conduct in-depth performance analysis, variance reporting, and business reviews to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate business cases, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.
• Partner with commercial teams to drive profitable growth, optimise trade spend, and improve return on investment.
• Ensure strong financial controls and compliance within the commercial function.
• Mentor and develop finance talent within the team.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Full professional accounting qualification such as CPA(U), ACCA, or CFA is mandatory.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in commercial finance, business partnering, or FP&A, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or a multinational corporation.
• Proven expertise in financial modelling, data analysis, and performance management.
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker with a proven ability to influence commercial decisions.
