Job Description

CESVI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Finance Coordinator to oversee financial operations across our South and East Africa programmes. This senior-level position, based in Uganda, is critical for ensuring financial compliance, managing donor funds, and supporting our humanitarian and development projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all financial management and accounting activities for CESVI's country offices in South and East Africa.
  • Ensure strict compliance with donor regulations (EU, UN, USAID, etc.), Ugandan national laws, and organisational financial policies.
  • Prepare and consolidate regional financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management and donor review.
  • Lead and mentor finance teams in various country offices, building local capacity and ensuring standardised procedures.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and conduct regular financial audits and risk assessments.
  • Serve as the primary finance liaison between the regional offices and CESVI headquarters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial management within the NGO or humanitarian sector, preferably in East Africa.
  • Proven expertise in managing large, multi-donor budgets and complex financial reporting for international donors.
  • Excellent command of accounting software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and financial regulations is essential.

Benefits:

  • Competitive NGO salary package with benefits aligned with Ugandan market standards.
  • Opportunity to work with a leading international humanitarian organisation.
  • Professional development and career growth in a dynamic regional role.
  • Contribution to meaningful projects that support communities across East Africa.

If you are a dedicated finance professional looking for a challenging and rewarding senior management role in Uganda's development sector, we encourage you to apply before the closing date.
