Regional Finance Coordinator Job in Uganda - South and East Africa

CESVI is seeking an experienced Regional Finance Coordinator to oversee financial operations across our South and East Africa programmes, including Uganda. This senior role is based in Uganda and offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to humanitarian and development work across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage regional budgets, financial reports, and forecasts for multiple country programmes
• Ensure compliance with donor financial regulations (EU, UN, USAID) and CESVI policies
• Provide technical financial guidance and capacity building to country finance teams
• Coordinate with programme managers to monitor project expenditures and ensure proper financial management
• Oversee financial audits and implement recommendations for improvement
• Manage cash flow and treasury operations across the region
• Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements for regional management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field (Master's preferred)
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is mandatory
• Minimum 7 years' progressive experience in finance management within INGOs
• Extensive experience with major donor financial reporting requirements
• Proven experience managing multi-country finance operations in Africa
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software
• Excellent communication skills in English (French is an added advantage)
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region
