PATH Uganda is hiring a Senior Finance Officer to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This is a senior-level opportunity for a qualified finance professional to lead financial operations for our impactful health programmes across Uganda.

Job Summary
The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for the overall financial management and integrity of PATH Uganda's programmes. You will ensure compliance with donor regulations, manage grants, and provide accurate financial reporting to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and monitor programme budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee all financial reporting for donors, including USAID, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Manage grant financial administration from inception to close-out.
• Ensure strict compliance with PATH policies, Ugandan law, and donor financial regulations.
• Coordinate with programme teams to provide financial guidance and support.
• Supervise and mentor finance team members.
• Liaise with external auditors and facilitate audit processes.
• Maintain and improve financial systems and internal controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• Full professional accounting qualification (CPA or ACCA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within an NGO or international organisation.
• Proven experience managing USAID grants and knowledge of other major donor (e.g., CDC, Global Fund) regulations.
• High proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and high level of integrity.
