KCB Bank Uganda, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Information Security (SMIS) to join our dynamic team. This is a senior-level opportunity for a cybersecurity professional to lead our information security strategy and protect our digital assets in Uganda's growing banking sector.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop, implement, and oversee the bank's comprehensive information security strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of cybersecurity risks to protect customer data, financial systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Manage security incidents and responses, ensuring minimal disruption to banking operations.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank of Uganda), data protection laws, and international security standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of information security professionals, fostering a culture of security awareness across the organisation.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Liaise with senior management and stakeholders to report on security posture and strategic initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the banking or financial services sector.
• Proven expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, network security, and cloud security.
• In-depth knowledge of Ugandan financial regulations and data protection considerations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
