Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain robust security measures for Airtel Uganda's computer systems and data infrastructure
• Monitor security systems including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing
• Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures
• Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches
• Provide security awareness training to staff members
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats and protection technologies
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognised institution
• Professional certifications in cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent)
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in IT security roles
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Experience with network security protocols and encryption technologies
• Familiarity with Ugandan data protection regulations and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
