Pearl Bank Uganda, a trusted financial institution in the heart of Uganda's banking sector, is seeking two (2) skilled and dedicated Systems Administrators to join our dynamic IT team in Kampala. Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Install, configure, and maintain the bank's server hardware, operating systems, and application software.
• Monitor system performance, ensuring high availability and security of all IT infrastructure.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across the bank's network.
• Perform regular system backups and implement disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical banking data.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies, including firewall and antivirus management, to protect against cyber threats.
• Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to plan and execute system upgrades and new implementations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and service records.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognised Ugandan or international institution.
• Professional certification (e.g., MCSE, RHCE, CCNA) will be a strong added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in systems administration, preferably within the banking or financial services sector in Uganda.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments.
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced banking environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to excellent customer service for internal staff.
