As the Business Applications Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the bank's portfolio of business applications, ensuring their stability, security, and alignment with strategic objectives. You will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience through technology.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all core banking and business applications.
• Manage a team of applications support analysts and specialists.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all business systems.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Oversee vendor management for software solutions and service providers.
• Develop and manage the applications budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices for application management.
• Lead projects for system upgrades, integrations, and new application deployments.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT application management, preferably within the banking or financial services sector in Uganda.
• Proven experience with core banking systems (Finacle, T24, Bankmaster, etc.) and other financial software.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
• Excellent knowledge of database management, system integration, and IT project management.
• Relevant professional certifications (ITIL, PMP, etc.) are highly desirable.
