Compassion International Uganda is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Program Support Specialist - Health to join our team in Kampala. This is a senior-level role where you will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for holistic child development programmes, with a specialised focus on health interventions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide expert technical leadership and consultancy in the design, development, and implementation of holistic child development programmes, with a primary focus on health and physical development.
• Lead major, complex programme support initiatives for health-related projects within Uganda and potentially the region.
• Coach, mentor, and oversee the work of other programme support specialists and related staff, serving as a team leader.
• Develop and implement strategies and interventions that address the cognitive, socio-emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of children in our programmes.
• Ensure programme quality, monitor outcomes, and provide highly competent expertise to advance our child development mission.
• Collaborate with local church partners and community stakeholders to enhance programme delivery and impact.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• A Master's degree in Public Health, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive, relevant experience in programme design, management, and technical support within the NGO sector, specifically in health or holistic child development.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of coaching and managing professional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the Ugandan context, public health systems, and community-based development models.
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.
• Strong personal commitment to Compassion International's Christian mission and values.
