Old Mutual Uganda, a leading financial services provider, is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Kampala. This is a senior leadership role where you will drive growth, identify new market opportunities, and shape the future of our business in Uganda's dynamic financial sector.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve aggressive growth targets.
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and client segments within Uganda.
• Develop, implement, and monitor detailed business plans and go-to-market strategies.
• Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with key corporate clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the sales and business development teams.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation and closure of major deals.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports and forecasts to senior management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic marketing, preferably within financial services, insurance, or a related sector in Uganda.
• Demonstrated success in a senior role with a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of the Ugandan business landscape and financial market.
