Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategic business development plans to achieve Old Mutual's growth objectives in Uganda.
• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities and market trends.
• Lead client acquisition strategies and build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and corporate clients.
• Drive revenue growth by expanding the company's market share and product penetration.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing business development and sales team to exceed targets.
• Represent Old Mutual at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility.
• Prepare and present detailed business reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or marketing, specifically within the financial services, insurance, or banking industry in Uganda.
• Demonstrable history of meeting and exceeding ambitious sales and revenue targets.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing and developing teams.
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth understanding of the Ugandan financial market and regulatory environment.
