Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow Old Mutual's market share and revenue in Uganda. You will identify new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and lead initiatives to penetrate new market segments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive business growth strategies for the Ugandan market.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and market trends in Uganda's financial sector.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, corporates, and institutions.
• Lead market research and analysis to inform product development and positioning.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing business development team.
• Prepare and present business proposals, reports, and forecasts to senior management.
• Represent Old Mutual at industry events, conferences, and networking forums in Uganda.
• Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies aligned with company objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in business development within financial services (insurance, banking, or asset management preferred).
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in Uganda.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams.
• Excellent strategic planning, negotiation, and communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of the Ugandan financial services regulatory environment.
• Established network of contacts within Uganda's corporate and business community.
