Diageo, a global leader in premium drinks, is hiring a Sales Representative for the Central Region of Uganda. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class FMCG company and drive sales growth in the vibrant Kampala market and surrounding areas.
About the Role:
As a Sales Representative with Diageo, you will be at the forefront of our market execution. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and customers to expand our market share and consistently achieve ambitious sales targets. This role is perfect for a dynamic sales professional who thrives on travel, negotiation, and winning in a competitive marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute effective sales plans for your assigned territory within the Central Region.
- Build and maintain long-term, productive relationships with key customers and distributors.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities, ensure proper product visibility, and gather market intelligence.
- Achieve and exceed set monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
- Provide valuable feedback and market insights to the sales and marketing teams.
- Ensure excellent merchandising standards and optimal product placement at all points of sale.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry in Uganda.
- In-depth knowledge of the Central Region's market dynamics, trade channels, and consumer behaviour.
- A valid Ugandan driver's licence and a willingness to travel extensively within the region.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A verifiable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
