Diageo, a world leader in premium drinks and a major employer in Uganda, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in Mbarara. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career with a global FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) company and drive sales growth across the Western Region of Uganda.
About the Role
As a Sales Representative for Diageo in Mbarara, you will be at the forefront of our market expansion and customer engagement efforts. You will play a pivotal role in managing key distributor relationships, executing sales strategies, and ensuring our iconic brands reach consumers across the Western region.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Drive sales growth and achieve set monthly and quarterly sales targets for the Western region.
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing distributors and onboard new partners.
- Conduct market development activities to increase brand visibility and market share.
- Monitor competitor activity and provide insightful market intelligence reports.
- Ensure excellent execution of trade marketing plans and promotions at the point of sale.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer interactions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the FMCG sector in Uganda.
- A valid Ugandan driver's licence (Class B) and a clean driving record.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good knowledge of the Western Uganda business landscape is a strong advantage.
