About the Role
As a Sales Representative for Diageo in Mbarara, you will be at the forefront of our business, responsible for expanding our market presence and achieving sales targets. You will work closely with distributors, develop strong trade relationships, and execute effective marketing strategies to grow our portfolio of iconic brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and achieve set targets within the Mbarara region and Western Uganda.
- Manage and develop relationships with key distributors and trade partners.
- Implement effective trade marketing and promotional activities.
- Conduct market visits to monitor stock levels, product placement, and competitor activity.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure excellent service.
- Provide timely sales reports and market intelligence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and trade standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector in Uganda.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Western Uganda market, specifically Mbarara and surrounding areas.
- Valid driver's licence (Class B) with a clean driving record.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in English and relevant local languages is an added advantage.
