Regional Community Health Coordinator Job at Living Goods - Kadiogo, Burkina Faso
Job Description
Living Goods, a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to improving community health, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Community Health Coordinator to join our team in Kadiogo, Burkina Faso. This is a senior-level position for a professional passionate about public health, community engagement, and programme management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all community health initiatives and programmes within the Kadiogo region.
- Manage and support a network of community health workers, ensuring they have the training and resources needed to deliver quality care.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve maternal, newborn, and child health outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate programme performance against key health indicators and targets.
- Build strong partnerships with local government health authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports on programme activities, challenges, and successes for management and donors.
- Ensure compliance with national health policies and Living Goods' operational standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Community Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in community health programme coordination or management, preferably in West Africa.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and community-based networks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and using digital health tools is an advantage.
- Fluency in French is essential; knowledge of local languages is a strong asset.
- Must be willing to be based in Kadiogo, Burkina Faso, with frequent travel within the region.
