Regional Community Health Coordinator (Information Systems) Job at Living Goods - Kadiogo, Burkina Faso
Job Description
Living Goods, a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to saving lives through community health, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Community Health Coordinator (Information Systems) to be based in Kadiogo, Burkina Faso. This is a pivotal role for a public health professional passionate about leveraging data and community systems to improve health outcomes.
In this full-time position, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising community health information systems and programmes within the Kadiogo region. You will work closely with community health workers, government partners, and the Living Goods team to ensure the effective delivery of primary healthcare services and the accurate collection and use of health data.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of community health programmes and information systems within the assigned region.
- Provide technical supervision, training, and support to a network of community health workers and field staff.
- Ensure high-quality data collection, reporting, and analysis from community health activities to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with local government health authorities and other partners to align programmes with national community health strategies.
- Monitor programme performance against key health indicators and prepare regular reports for management.
- Identify challenges in service delivery or data systems and propose effective solutions.
- Support the rollout and adoption of digital health tools and mobile technology used by community health workers.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Nursing, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in community health programming, health information systems (HIS), or public health management.
- Strong experience in data management, analysis, and reporting, preferably in a health context.
- Excellent training, mentorship, and coordination skills with field teams.
- Proficiency in French (required) and English (an asset).
- Familiarity with digital health tools and mobile applications for community health.
- Ability to travel frequently within the Kadiogo region.
