About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Technician at Diageo Uganda, you will be at the heart of our production process. You will be responsible for safeguarding product quality through rigorous testing, inspection, and continuous monitoring of our manufacturing operations. Your analytical skills will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and safety of our beloved brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Perform detailed inspections and process monitoring on the production floor.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, including HACCP and ISO protocols.
• Maintain accurate quality control records and documentation.
• Identify, report, and help troubleshoot any quality deviations or non-conformances.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
• Support a culture of quality and safety throughout the Kampala facility.

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong practical knowledge of food safety management systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills and unwavering attention to detail.
• Proven experience in the beverage or food processing industry is a significant advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
