Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct routine and non-routine quality tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods at our Uganda production facility.
• Monitor and audit production processes to ensure strict adherence to quality and food safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality control documentation and records as per company and regulatory standards.
• Investigate quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of food safety management systems, including HACCP and ISO standards.
• Collaborate with production, supply, and logistics teams to ensure quality is integrated at every stage.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate testing results.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science & Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the FMCG or beverage industry in Uganda.
• Practical knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP) is essential.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
