About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Technician at Diageo Mbarara, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be at the heart of our production process, safeguarding our brand reputation and ensuring customer satisfaction across Uganda and beyond.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct rigorous quality tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Monitor and audit production processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality control documentation, records, and reports.
• Implement immediate corrective actions for any quality issues identified during production.
• Actively support continuous quality improvement initiatives within the plant.
• Ensure strict adherence to all food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and Diageo's global standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to foster a strong culture of quality awareness.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this quality assurance job in Uganda, you should possess:

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG or food & beverage.
• Practical knowledge of food safety standards (UNBS, USFDA) and HACCP systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
