Job Purpose

As a Quality Assurance Technician at Diageo Uganda, you will play a critical role in maintaining our renowned product quality standards. You will be responsible for implementing rigorous testing, inspection, and quality control procedures at our production facility to ensure every product meets both Diageo's global standards and Uganda's regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality testing and inspection of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures and food safety standards, including HACCP protocols.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation for compliance and traceability.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate testing results.
• Participate in internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all quality processes adhere to Ugandan National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) and other local regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a quality assurance role within the FMCG, food processing, or beverage manufacturing industry in Uganda.
• Strong practical knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Proficiency in using basic laboratory equipment and quality testing instruments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
