Public Health Specialist Job in Jinja - FHI 360 Uganda

FHI 360 Uganda is seeking a qualified Public Health Specialist to join our team in Jinja. This is an exciting opportunity for public health professionals looking to make a meaningful impact on health programmes implementation in Eastern Uganda.

As a leading global development organisation, FHI 360 works to improve health and well-being in Uganda. We are looking for a dedicated Public Health Specialist who will provide technical assistance and support the implementation of our health programmes in the Jinja region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical assistance and expertise in public health programme implementation
• Develop comprehensive training materials for health workers and partners
• Coordinate closely with district health teams and local government authorities
• Monitor and evaluate programme implementation and progress
• Support data collection and reporting for donor-funded projects
• Ensure programmes align with Uganda's national health system priorities

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Master's degree in Public Health or related field (required)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in public health programming
• Demonstrated knowledge of Uganda's health system and policies
• Experience working with donor-funded health projects
• Strong technical writing and reporting skills
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities
