Community Health Worker Job in Kyaka, Southwest Uganda - Medical Teams International

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct community-based health promotion and education activities
• Provide essential outreach services to vulnerable populations
• Mobilise communities for health initiatives and programmes
• Facilitate health education sessions on preventive healthcare
• Support referral systems for patients needing advanced medical care
• Collect and report health data from the community
• Collaborate with local health facilities and community leaders

Essential Requirements:

• Certificate or diploma in health-related training (nursing, public health, or community health)
• Minimum 1 year experience in community health work or related field
• Fluency in local languages spoken in Kyaka region
• Strong understanding of local culture and community dynamics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to ride a motorcycle (with valid riding permit)
