Physician Manager Job in Kampala - Aga Khan University Health Services

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide clinical leadership and management for physician services at the Kampala facility.
• Oversee the quality of patient care, ensuring adherence to international and local clinical standards.
• Manage, mentor, and support a team of physicians and clinical staff.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with hospital administration on strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of continuous professional development, research, and excellence.
• Ensure efficient and effective clinical operations and patient flow.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A Master of Medicine (MMed) degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a relevant medical specialty.
• Full registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC) with a valid practising licence.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of post-qualification clinical experience, with at least 3-5 years in a significant leadership or management role.
• Proven experience in clinical administration, team management, and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A strong commitment to ethical medical practice and patient-centred care.
