Job Summary

As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda's Mbale facility, you will play a crucial role in the preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to hospital units and patients. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes through accurate service and compassionate counselling.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies accurately
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all dispensed items
• Provide clear medication counselling to patients to improve treatment adherence
• Coordinate with other hospital units to ensure timely supply of medications
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure proper storage of drugs
• Follow all standard operating procedures and safety protocols
• Handle patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised institution
• Valid practicing license from the Allied Health Professionals Council
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Computer literacy for documentation purposes
• Knowledge of Ugandan pharmacy regulations and standards
