Job Purpose
As an in-house Medical Officer, you will be responsible for the comprehensive clinical care of patients within your assigned unit, ward, or clinic. Your primary role is to ensure the delivery of efficient, effective, and profitable medical services while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction that C-Care is known for.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide direct clinical care to patients, managing a wide range of medical conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to form conclusive diagnoses.
- Develop, prescribe, and oversee effective treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records and medical reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including consultants, nurses, and specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to all clinical protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements set by C-Care and Ugandan health authorities.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and continuous medical education sessions.
- Contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the medical service through optimal resource utilisation.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Full registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council with a valid annual practising licence.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of post-internship clinical experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical acumen and excellent diagnostic skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and medical ethics.
