Pharmacy Dispenser Job in Kireka - C-Care Uganda

Job Summary:
As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare delivery system. You will be responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to both hospital units and direct clients. Your professional conduct and clear communication will ensure patients receive proper counselling, ultimately improving their treatment adherence and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently to patients and hospital departments.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and records of all drug transactions in compliance with Ugandan pharmaceutical regulations.
• Provide clear, empathetic, and professional counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock-taking, ordering, and ensuring proper storage conditions for drugs and supplies.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, ethical standards, and hospital policies governing pharmaceutical practice.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• A Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a recognised institution in Uganda.
• Valid practising licence from the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
• Proven experience working as a dispenser or pharmacy technician in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong patient-centred approach.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and inventory management systems.
