Pharmacy Dispenser Job in Jinja at C-Care Uganda

C-Care Uganda, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispenser to join our pharmacy team in Jinja. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and accurate provision of medication to patients and other hospital units. Your professional demeanour, excellent communication skills, and empathy will be essential in counselling patients effectively to improve their treatment adherence and overall health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, document, and dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies accurately.
• Provide clear and empathetic counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Maintain proper records of drug inventory, issuance, and expiry dates.
• Collaborate with other hospital units (wards, clinics) to fulfil their medical supply needs.
• Ensure strict adherence to all pharmacy standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in maintaining a clean, organised, and secure pharmacy environment.
• Handle patient enquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A recognised Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
• Prior experience as a Dispenser or in a similar pharmacy role is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
