Job Summary

As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to both hospital units and outpatients. Your work directly impacts patient safety and treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Accurately dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies to patients and hospital departments.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and records of all dispensed medications.
• Provide clear, empathetic, and professional counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Work to improve patient adherence to treatment plans through effective communication.
• Participate in drug inventory management and stock control within the pharmacy.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality as per Ugandan healthcare regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a recognised institution in Uganda.
• Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda is mandatory.
• Proven experience working as a dispenser or pharmacy technician in a hospital or clinic setting is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Luganda.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
• Empathetic and patient-centred approach to service delivery.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
