Nursing Job in Kampala at Marriott Hotel (Pre-Opening Team)
Job Description
Marriott International, a world leader in hospitality, is seeking a dedicated and professional Nurse to join the pre-opening team for the new Marriott Hotel in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the foundational team that will set the standard for health, safety, and guest care at this premier hotel located on Ggaba Road, Nsambya.
As a Nurse for this pre-opening phase, you will play a crucial role in establishing medical protocols, training staff on health and safety procedures, and ensuring the hotel is fully prepared to deliver exceptional care to both guests and associates from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety protocols for the hotel's pre-opening and operational phases.
- Conduct health screenings and provide basic medical care for hotel associates during the pre-opening period.
- Train hotel staff on first aid, emergency response, and hygiene standards.
- Set up and manage the hotel's first aid station and medical supplies inventory.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure all health regulations and Marriott International standards are met.
- Create a welcoming and safe environment for all future guests and team members.
Requirements:
- Must be a fully registered and licensed Nurse with a valid practising licence from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a corporate, hotel, or industrial clinic setting.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards in Uganda.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Proactive, organised, and able to work independently in a fast-paced pre-opening environment.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Luganda or other local languages is an added advantage.
