Job Description

The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) is recruiting qualified Ugandan professionals to join the National Development Plan IV (NDP IV) Programme Secretariat in Kampala. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Uganda's national development agenda and work at the heart of the country's strategic planning.

We are seeking dedicated individuals for various roles within the Secretariat to support the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the NDP IV. Successful candidates will play a critical part in shaping Uganda's economic future and ensuring the effective execution of national priorities.

Key Responsibilities for Various Roles:
β€’ Support the coordination and implementation of NDP IV programmes and projects.
β€’ Conduct research, data analysis, and policy review to inform development planning.
β€’ Facilitate monitoring and evaluation activities to track programme performance and impact.
β€’ Prepare technical reports, briefs, and presentations for senior government officials and stakeholders.
β€’ Liaise with various government ministries, departments, agencies, and development partners.
β€’ Contribute to resource mobilisation efforts for NDP IV initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications:
β€’ A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Administration, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised institution.
β€’ Relevant professional experience in programme management, policy analysis, monitoring & evaluation, or development planning. Experience within the public sector or with development partners is an added advantage.
β€’ Strong analytical, report writing, and communication skills.
β€’ Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office and data analysis software.
β€’ A high level of integrity, commitment, and ability to work effectively in a team.
