About Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA)
The UCAA is the national body responsible for regulating civil aviation and managing Entebbe International Airport along with 13 other upcountry aerodromes. The Authority operates in strict conformity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), ensuring world-class safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities & Training Scope
As an AIM Officer Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training to:

• Learn to collect, validate, process, and disseminate aeronautical information/data essential for flight operations.
• Assist in the production and amendment of Aeronautical Information Publications (AIP) and related documents.
• Support the management of aeronautical data to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity as per ICAO standards.
• Train on the use of specialised AIM systems and contribute to the safety of air navigation in Ugandan airspace.
• Participate in quality assurance processes for all aeronautical information products and services.

Who We Are Looking For (Requirements)

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Geography, Geomatics, GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Physical Sciences from a recognised university in Uganda.
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in computer applications and a keen interest in data management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• High integrity, commitment, and a strong desire to build a career in aviation.
• Must be a Ugandan citizen.
