Job Description
The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife & Antiquities of Uganda is seeking qualified Ugandan professionals to join its Secretariat on contract terms. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development and promotion of Uganda's tourism sector, wildlife conservation, and cultural heritage.
We are recruiting for various positions within the Secretariat to support the ministry's mandate of promoting sustainable tourism, protecting wildlife, and preserving Uganda's rich antiquities. Successful candidates will work in a dynamic government environment at the heart of Uganda's tourism strategy.
Key Responsibilities (Vary by Position):
• Support the implementation of tourism, wildlife, and antiquities policies and programmes
• Contribute to departmental planning, reporting, and administrative functions
• Participate in projects and initiatives that promote Uganda as a premier tourism destination
• Assist in the conservation and management of Uganda's wildlife resources and heritage sites
• Provide technical and administrative support to the Secretariat's operations
Requirements for Applicants:
• Must be a Ugandan citizen with relevant academic qualifications
• Professional experience in government, tourism, wildlife, heritage, or related fields
• Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines
