Are you a skilled M&E professional passionate about driving impactful development projects in Uganda? World Vision International, a leading global humanitarian organisation, is seeking a dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to be based in Gulu. This is a senior-level opportunity to design and implement robust M&E systems that measure the real-world impact of our community development initiatives across Northern Uganda.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks and systems for World Vision's development projects in the region.
- Lead all aspects of data collection, management, analysis, and interpretation to track project performance and measure impact against set objectives.
- Prepare high-quality, timely reports for project stakeholders, donors, and management, showcasing project outcomes and lessons learned.
- Build the capacity of project staff and local partners in M&E methodologies, data collection tools, and results-based management.
- Ensure data quality assurance and that all M&E activities adhere to organisational and donor standards and requirements.
- Use M&E findings to provide strategic recommendations for programme improvement and adaptive management.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- A Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a closely related field from a recognised university.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven, hands-on experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the NGO sector or in community development projects in Uganda.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R, Excel) and experience with digital data collection platforms like KOBO Toolbox or ODK.
- Strong understanding of logical frameworks, theory of change, and results-based management principles.
- Excellent analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data to diverse audiences.
- Experience working in Northern Uganda or similar post-conflict recovery contexts is a distinct advantage.
