Job Summary:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and impact of our health programmes. You will be responsible for the full M&E cycle, from data collection to analysis and reporting, providing vital insights that guide strategic decisions and improve service delivery.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive M&E plans and frameworks for assigned health programmes.
- Lead the collection, cleaning, analysis, and interpretation of programme data to track performance against targets.
- Conduct regular Data Quality Assessments (DQAs) to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all reported information.
- Prepare and submit timely, high-quality progress reports for donors, management, and stakeholders.
- Design and maintain robust M&E databases and data management systems.
- Build the capacity of programme staff in M&E procedures and the use of data for evidence-based decision-making.
- Support project evaluations, assessments, and learning activities.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, Demography, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven, hands-on experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the public health or NGO sector in Uganda.
- Strong technical proficiency in data analysis using software such as SPSS, STATA, R, or advanced Excel.
- Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to data integrity.
- Experience working with donor-funded projects and understanding of key health indicators is a significant advantage.
