Chief of Party Job at World Vision International Uganda - Kampala
Job Description
World Vision International Uganda is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief of Party to lead a major health project in Kampala. This is a senior leadership role for a seasoned professional with extensive USAID project management experience.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide overall strategic leadership, management, and direction for the project, ensuring achievement of all objectives.
- Ensure strict compliance with USAID regulations and reporting requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with USAID, Ugandan government counterparts, partners, and stakeholders.
- Oversee all project planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and timely reporting.
- Manage the project budget and resources efficiently, ensuring financial accountability and value for money.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of technical and program staff, fostering collaboration.
- Promote innovation and adaptive management to enhance project impact and sustainability within the Ugandan context.
- Ensure integration of cross-cutting themes: gender equality, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Masterβs degree in Public Health, International Development, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience managing large-scale, complex health projects.
- Proven track record as Chief of Party or similar senior leadership role on USAID-funded projects is essential.
- Strong understanding of the Ugandan public health system and development context.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
