As an M&E Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and accountability of our health interventions. You will be at the heart of data-driven decision-making, working closely with programme teams to measure results, demonstrate impact, and guide strategic improvements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design robust data collection tools, systems, and databases for effective programme monitoring, with a focus on Uganda's health context.
  • Conduct routine Data Quality Assessments (DQAs) and validation exercises to ensure the integrity of health data.
  • Analyse both quantitative and qualitative programme data using advanced statistical software.
  • Prepare high-quality, timely performance reports for programme teams, management, and donors.
  • Build the capacity of programme staff in M&E concepts, tools, and data utilisation practices.
  • Support the documentation of best practices, success stories, and lessons learned from programme implementation.
  • Contribute significantly to donor reporting requirements and support internal and external programme evaluations.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, Demography, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven, hands-on experience in monitoring and evaluation, specifically within the health sector in Uganda.
  • Strong technical skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and visualisation.
  • Practical experience with health information systems, including DHIS2 and Uganda's Health Management Information System (HMIS).
  • High proficiency in using statistical software packages such as SPSS, STATA, or R.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • A proactive individual with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to data quality.

Why Work With PATH Uganda?

Join a mission-driven organisation that values evidence and impact. PATH offers a competitive remuneration package within the Ugandan NGO sector, a collaborative and professional work environment, and the opportunity to work on programmes that make a real difference in public health. You will gain invaluable experience and contribute to shaping health outcomes in Uganda.

Application Deadline: 10th December 2024
